Available as a limited release, the Kaizen TC4 Conversion brings many new features to the TC4 platform elevating it to a more modern standard. Narrow chassis and symmetrical flex design providing minimal chassis scrub and excellent grip on low traction surfaces. Step milled motor clearance offers the lowest possible motor position while retaining chassis edge durability. Access to the steering rack assembly from underneath the chassis is now possible with updated front cutout shape. Standard battery tape slots and optional battery tape tab configuration is available. Flipped motor position for decreased torque steer effect.
Floating one-piece servo mount design helps ensure symmetrical chassis flex characteristics while incorporating a battery stop for battery position adjustment from centerline. An adjustable rear battery stop is also included. With these two features we have prevented the battery from shifting into the driveshaft during operation causing drag and damage to the battery case. The ability to achieve equal left and right weight balance is also possible by adding shims moving the battery away from centerline until optimum left and right balance is achieved.
The motor mount has been redesigned to offer easier access to the motor for mounting and gear mesh adjustment from the top. No more long wrenches and peering through the rear suspension for motor screw access. Achieving consistent gear mesh on older shaft drive car designs has always been a challenge. Now when exchanging motors the gear mesh can be easily replicated by using the motor position indicator on the newly designed motor mount system.
A modern LCG top deck design mounts recessed into new camber link mounts that have retained the two favored original ball stud positions. An additional ball stud position has been added providing a half adjustment for additional tuning options. With the top deck screws mounting to both the camber link mount and the diff case, we’ve found the design to be more resistant to tweak during testing.
While retaining the use of full length shocks, the LCG shock towers offer revised front suspension geometry that has been updated and now includes additional shock mounting locations for when increased steering is needed. The revised shock towers also provide balance holes for the dual wrench chassis balance method.
These advanced features combine to confidently offer the most competitive, user- friendly, evolution of this platform to date. Converts both the Factory Team TC4 and TC4 Club Racer kit.
